Five Six, Pick up Stick (and nuts, and leaves, and…)

So, it’s that time of year again. The sun is shining, it’s getting warmer, and the snow is melting… revealing all the winter debris that has collected on my lawn through the winter months. And when I say “winter debris” I really mean “lawn covered in hickory nuts and limbs.” There isn’t a square inch that doesn’t have stuff on it. (okay, that may be an exaggeration… but not by much!)

I started raking it yesterday, but quickly became overwhelmed by the exceptionally large task ahead of me. I figure that it will take about two weeks of my raking to get it completed (that is, if it’s not interrupted by rain). After all, I have to balance the time I have to rake with taking care of Bekah and the puppy. With Rick gone, there isn’t much time left for things like yard work!

So, I am on the hunt for a couple (or even one) strapping teenage boys who want to make some cash. I’ll pay, well, (okay… not well, but reasonable) to have someone else rake up the yard!

And just so you know that I am not lying… here it is in all it’s debris covered glory!
