Spring Dance Recital

This year, the dance recital was on a real stage in a real hall. It was very exciting for the girls… every year before, the recital has been at the daycare. This year, a new dance studio was brought into the center and everything changed. The girls were taught ballet positions, and poses… all in preparation for the spring recital.

Bekah’s group danced to Steven Curtis Chapman’s Cinderella, and she was over the moon! She loves that song! She had so much fun dancing today. I am so proud of my little ballerina!

Pies Family Updated (Finally!)

So it’s been mentioned to me recently (reprimanded, chastised… what ever you might like to call it) that I’ve not been keeping up with my blog. And those who brought it up were right, I’ve not.

I can give you lengthy excuses as to why I’ve been ignoring the blog… things like “my husband was gone for 2 months and I was so busy keeping the house running”, or “I left for vacation AS SOON AS my husband came home”, or “we’ve been so busy with other things”. All good excuses… but excuses none the less.
Yes, I’ve been busy. But then again, when are people not busy. I started the blog as a way to keep friends and family updated on what is going on in the Pies family…. so….. are you ready? Here is the past two months in picture format!
In early April, Mom, Dad, Bekah and I went up to Michigan to see my Grandma. She and Bekah have such a wonderful relationship.

Easter! It was kind of weird celebrating Easter with out Rick there, but we still had a good time. The Easter Bunny was very good to Bekah, and she made out like a bandit (or is that like a bunny?)!
After Bekah saw Grandma (her Great-Grandma) she wanted to do something special for her, so we went to Build-a-Bear to make a “Great-Grandma Bear”! Bekah chose the body (a bunny… not a bear) added a heart, and then a push button that says “I Love You”. Hugged it, then packaged it up for Mom and Dad to deliver.

We spent an afternoon walking the trails at Paul Ruster Park! Fun! Can’t wait to take Rick there!

And here is the darling birthday girl at daycare (took Popsicles in for her birthday)
and with her best girlfriend!
There is a lot more to come… so stay tuned!
